Photo Gallery | iCan Shine bicycle camp teaches disabled kids how to ride
This week, Spokane's first iCan Shine bicycle camp kicked off at Mt. Spokane High School. The camp uses special bikes to teach children with disabilities such as autism and Downs Syndrome how to ride a bicycle, a skill that is often challenging for these kids.
Casey Traver, Camp Director, reports that they had enough volunteers to open up more spots in the camp and that things are on track to bring the camp back next summer. After only two days of camp, Traver says that about half the camp was able to start on two wheels.
