Spokane Humane Society launching summer day camp | Families
Good summer news for your animal loving kids! For the first time the Spokane Humane Society is offering Camp Barks N’ Rec.
This is the first time the Spokane Humane Society has offered the camp that aims to educate kids learn about human welfare and animal care. Campers will learn about different types of pets, do arts and crafts projects for both shelter and at home pets, and have hands on time with the shelter animals all while having a great time!
The first round of Camp Barks N’ Rec is open to students who are eight and nine years old. Applications for the June 23rd-27th camp are available HERE. Unfortunately, there’s only room for 10 kids at each session, and applications are accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Those who aren’t able to attend the first session will put on a waiting list for later camp dates.
The Spokane Humane Society said they hope to offer a second session in July, and then see how they can make camp even better for animal loving kiddos!
